Services
FCRMA provides a vital link between Franklin County businesses and county and town governments to share and address concerns of businesses. Through membership in the Virginia Retail Merchants Association, businesses have a lobbying effect with the state legislature.
Our members obtain the benefit of purchasing group health insurance with members only add-ons. For information on this Anthem insurance plan, contact agent Wanda Rowe at 276-666-3600 or Darrell Hodges at 483-3325.
Promotions and events are a part of what we do. We sponsor the Holiday Gift and Craft Show in November, the Christmas Parade in December, a car show (usually held in August), and a Family Fun night and auction on the third Monday and Tuesday of June.
Franklin County Promotions and Services, Inc.
This orginization was created to promote Franklin County businesses, citizens, and the county itself and its unique atmosphere. We are proud of our heritage and want those who live and visit here to be aware of the history of Franklin County and to value the opportunities available here.
Franklin County Historical Publications, Inc.
This organization publishes a variety of historical books and pamphlets. Our annual publication, "Franklin County Yesterday and Today," is a historical picture book on high quality paper that will last for years and serves to remind citizens of how people, places, and things appeared in years past. We provide collection activity for local businesses at their request. We publish a quarterly bulletin of public records, judgements and marriages, to our members.
This organization served the people of Franklin County as a local credit bureau until 2002. The rules, regulations, and costs for providing this service finally outweighed the benefits being received. Today, we provide direction people looking for their credit information.
Independent Surveys Division
This Division cunducts surveys for organizations wanting information from local citizens, businesses, or organizations.Better Business Division
This division provides informational services to the public and businesses in an effort to promote better business services to the public.
