Franklin County Retail Merchants Association, Inc. (FCRMA) provides services to businesses in Franklin County, VA.  We began on June 10, 1956, with 35 members as a hub for businesses in Rocky Mount, VA, and have grown to include all of Franklin County.  We are a member in good standing with the Virginia RMA.

55th Anniversary Cookbook

COOKBOOKS ARE still available!!! We printed the cookbooks ourselves and we have copies available for purchase. Call us or come by to pick up a copy.

This is a cookbook of recipes obtained from members that celebrates the 55th Anniversary of FCRMA. FCRMA began in June of 1956 and this is our 55th year. We thank all of our members who submitted recipes to be included in this cookbook and businesses who advertised in it.

We serve as a liason between businesses and local governments to assist in solving concerns of our members.

THREATENING WEATHER FORCES POSTPONEMENT OF FUN FESTIVAL

THE FUN FESTIVAL HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO MONDAY JUNE 24, 2013 DUE TO RAIN THREATS FOR JUNE 17.  STARTING TIME WILL STILL BE 6:00 PM.

THE AUCTION IS SCHEDULED FOR TUESDAY JUNE 25, 2013 BEGINNING AT 6:00 PM.

Fun Festival and Auction 2013

We are preparing for the Fun Festival and Auction for 2013.  Any business willing to donate item(s) for the auction should call us during office hours.  The Fun Festival is still being planned for the third Monday in June (June 17, 2013) starting at 6:00 PM, this will be slanted towards a music event.  Flatfooting contests will still be a part of the event.

Contest 2013

FCRMA invites all businesses, professional offices, and organizations to join the restaurants in the effort to find the "Friendliest Staff Staff in Franklin County"  Materials have been sent to the restaurants of Franklin County to get them started and others interested in participating should call us during office hours of M, Tu, W, F between 8:30 and 2:30 at 483-9211 or leave a message for Tom at 576-3602. 

The contest will run from April 22, 2013 through May 21, 2013.

2012 Edition of Yesterday and Today

It is now May 1, 2013 and the books are on hand!!!!!

Yes and No, the 2011 Edition was the last edition of "Franklin County Yesterday and Today." 

Our 2012 and 2013 book is titled "Bits of History."  It is similar to the FC Yesterday and Today.  We should have the books in hand by May 1, 2013.  Price is still $5.00.  Call us to request a copy to be mailed to you.  If you want a copy mailed, please add $2.00 for shipping and handling per copy.
