Franklin County Retail Merchants Association, Inc. (FCRMA) provides services to businesses in Franklin County, VA. We began on June 10, 1956, with 35 members as a hub for businesses in Rocky Mount, VA, and have grown to include all of Franklin County. We are a member in good standing with the Virginia RMA.
Members have access to affordable group health insurance as a member benefit. Through the strength of our organization members enjoy add-on benefits to a standard policy. See our services page for more info.
FCRMA provides information services to the public, business services to our members, holds events and promotions to promote businesses and Franklin County.

38th EDITION of FRANKLIN COUNTY YESTERDAY AND TODAY IS NOW AVAILABLE DECEMBER 3, 2009
The 2009 Edition of Yesterday and Today is available for purchase at the Retail Merchants Association office at 392 Franklin Street, Rocky Mount, VA. Come on by and pick up your copy. It is still $5.00 per copy and can be mailed for an additional $2.50 per book. Feel free to send in your request to our mailing address of PO Box 606.
2009 CHRISTMAS PARADE
December 7, 2009
The 2009 Christmas Parade was held on a sunny December 6, 2009. Despite the cooler weather an estimated crwod of 10,000 was on hand to watch the parade and gather the candy tossed out by the parade entrants. Young and old alike seemed to enjoy having a bit of candy come their way as they stood watching the parade. Officials said they recognized people from surrounding counties that had come to town to watch the parade. There were 103 entrants in the parade, with 26 judged particiapnts. Those best representing the theme of the parade seemed to come out on top of the judging.
The first place "Best Overall" winner was Redwood Ruritan Club with second place best overall going to Franklin Heights Baptist Church Youth Group. Mount Pleasant Christian Chuch garnered an Honorable Mention.
First place for "Most Unusual" went to Boy Scout Troop #130 & Boy Scouts Pack #130, with second place going to Aladdin Temple III Prince Hall Shriners. See Parade Page for Pictures.
FARMERS APPRECIATION DAY
